About:
Archaeological Museum Kalibangan was builtes in 1983 to display and preserve the antiques discovered during the excavation by the Archaeological Survey of India between 1961-69 on this Harappan site and is situated on the southern coast of the River Ghaggar in Hanumangarh district of the Indian state of Rajasthan. The Kalibangan museum is famous for Harappan artifacts. The museum shows off its antiquities and pottery in three galleries. One of the galleries out of the three displays the objects from the Pre-Harappan era and the other two exhibits Harappan artifacts. The objects in the museum include Harappan seals, terracotta objects, bangles, terracotta figurines, stone balls, bricks and grinders. The museum was closed in 2015, for renovation and was re-opened this year on the occasion of International Museum Day.
