About:
To preserve the antiques discovered during the excavation, an Archaeological Museum at Sri Suryapahar in Goalpara District of Assam, was made and inaugurated on 25/11/2004 which consists of 174 antiques unearthed from the archaeological excavations by the Guwahati Circle during the 90s and few terracotta plaques depicting panels of Buddha and carved bricks collected from the nearby locality have been exhibited. It mainly displays terracotta antique which includes plaques of human figures, mythical animals, kirtimukhas, amlaka fragments, decorated lion head, moulded fish, decorated bricks, decorated tiles of floral and geometrical designs but a few stone carvings and sculptures found from the site are also displayed which includes images of mahisasuramardini, gajasimha, stela fragment depicting vidyadharas and kirtimukha.
